There is a lot happening this weekend at Stash. There will be students learning to knit, an artist reception, and two lively ladies from Portland bringing in new yarn, patterns and samples. There will be some tasty treats and lots of yarn. Need I say more? So plan on making a weekend of it, and stop in Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. It will be good fun. Read on for the details…
Saturday, November 19th, 6-9pm
Live Painting Night with local artist Rachel Urista. You’ve seen her work on display in the shop, now you can meet Rachel and see her painting in action. She just brought in some new mini paintings in a fun candy-inspired palette. There are also prints, blank cards, and larger original paintings available for purchase. There will be light refreshments, music, and lots of yarn, too.
Sunday, November 20th 1-4pm
Join us for our first live trunk show at Stash. Lorajean Kelley, the sassy lady behind the hand-dyed Knitted Wit yarn, will be bringing a selection of new-to-Stash yarn bases, colors, patterns, and samples for you to peruse and purchase. I’m really excited to see some of her other yarns in person! She’ll also be delivering an order of Bulkan for the shop, a sumptuous aran weight blend of cashmere, merino, and nylon. I’m envisioning giant cowls and mittens!
Michele Bernstein will also be joining us! She blogs and designs under the name PDXKnitterati and is the brains behind the popular Pacific Shawl we have on display. She will be bringing a selection of her stunning patterns and sample knits, and will also be demoing some fun techniques Michele and I go way back in Internet years; we became online friends through our blogs while I was living on the East Coast! It has been a lot of fun getting to know her in person since moving to Oregon. I am thrilled to be hosting her and her design work at Stash.
See you this weekend at Stash!
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!
