Jul Designs & Schaefer Yarn
Trunk Show one day only!
Sunday December 18, 1-4pm
Jul Designs is new to me, but I was instantly drawn to these hand-made shawl pins. Carved from beautiful wood or forged from metal, these shawl pins make a beautiful addition to any hand knit shawl or scarf. Jul also makes a variety of pedestal buttons that are removable and require no button holes! Imagine moving that special button from one sweater or shawl to another simply by unscrewing the base.
We are also pleased to announce that Stash in now carrying Miss Priss from Schaefer Yarn, a hand painted 100% merino wool in worsted weight. This is a company I have worked with before and am very excited to share with you. Schaefer is a small, family run yarn business that hand-dyes its yarn in a stunning array of saturated colors.
From their website: While The Schaefer Yarn Company is just 18 years old, we have been hand dyeing variegated yarn commercially since 1980 – first in Mendocino, California, then in New York City. We now live and work in Interlaken, a village just north of Ithaca in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York. Now it takes a family of 11 to bring Schaefer Yarn to you, and yet each and every skein of yarn is still individually hand painted, just as it was in the beginning. We coined the phrase handpainted because of the painterly way we approached dyeing.
The trunk show will preview many of Schaefer’s Yarns and unique color ways and, depending on the response, we may have more in the shop very soon…
See you Sunday!
