Oak Grove Mitts

We have a stunning new sample knit in the shop.

The Oak Grove Mitts by Alana Dakos knit up beautifully in the Cielo Sport yarn from Becoming Art.  The sweet oak leaf grows from the ribbing at the wrist, then pops out from a reverse stockinette background.  My friend and long-distance sample knitter, Jen, reports that this was a fun and interesting pattern with enough going on that she didn’t get bored, yet it wasn’t overly challenging, either.

And let’s just take a moment to talk about that yarn, shall we?  The colors from Washington indie dyer Lisa Sanchez are deep and saturated, with a hint of darkness.  With color names like Spun Honey, Preserves, and Cinnamon, they are truly drool-worthy!  Best of all, this pattern uses just 150 yards, so you will have nearly half a skein left to play with!

Which color will you choose?
