A Day with Brenda Dayne

On Saturday we were thrilled to welcome the one and only Brenda Dayne to Stash for a day of teaching and knitting.  Awesome podcast aside, Brenda is an accomplished knitter and designer, and has the technical know-how to share her knowledge with students.

We hosted Brenda’s Short-row toe-up sock class, and it was packed with enthusiastic knitters.  There were local knitters as well as visitors from Eugene, Salem, Portland, and Seattle here for the class.  What a fun afternoon we had learning, knitting, sweating (it was our first hot summer day, of course), and visiting with Brenda!

Brenda’s in there somewhere demonstrating…

There she is!

Everyone was challenged to learn a new technique, and by the end we had many wee socks around.

Thank you to Brenda and all the lovely knitters for making the trip to Stash! It was a memorable day indeed. ; )
